Day 4: Meeting the Edge of Your Capacity

Today, we’re going to talk about something that determines how much of that abundance you’re actually able to receive:

Your capacity.

Most people want more of something: love, wealth, health, etc.

But here’s the question:

Can you hold it?

Because growth isn’t simply about attracting more.

Growth is about increasing your capacity to receive, experience, and sustain more.

What Is Capacity?

Capacity is your ability to hold life.

Your ability to hold uncertainty without collapsing.

Your ability to hold success without sabotaging it.

Your ability to hold love without pushing it away.

Your ability to hold money without feeling guilty.

Your ability to hold responsibility without becoming overwhelmed.

Your ability to hold both grief and joy at the same time.

Many of us ask life for more while unconsciously operating within the limits of our current capacity.

And life, in its wisdom, often invites us to expand before it delivers what we’re asking for.

The Edge of Growth

The edge of your capacity is where growth happens.

It’s the place where things begin to feel uncomfortable.

It’s the moment before overwhelm.

The moment where old coping mechanisms stop working.

The moment where you realize you cannot continue being who you’ve always been if you’re going to become who you’re meant to be.

Most people retreat at the edge.

But the edge is not a sign that you’re failing.

The edge is a sign that you’re expanding.

My Own Edge

Yesterday, I met the edge of my capacity.

I had been holding so much.

Holding responsibilities.
Holding expectations.
Holding emotions.
Holding everything together.

And then I reached the point where I couldn’t hold it all anymore.

The tears came.

Not because I was weak.

Not because I was broken.

But because something needed to break apart.

Sometimes the structures we’ve built to keep ourselves functioning are the very structures limiting our growth.

The tears weren’t a collapse.

They were an expansion.

A release.

A recalibration.

Just like a muscle grows through stress and recovery, your emotional and energetic capacity grows when you’re willing to meet your edge and stay present with what arises.
