Lessons from Self-Care Week

I was ignoring the signs. I was waking up tired in the mornings, wanting to hit snooze on my alarm. I was moving slower on my morning runs, craving junk food, etc. I’ve been GO GO GO since March. It wasn’t until one of my mentors took a week off that I realized I needed to intentionally do the same.

So, the past week, I had a self-care week. I needed to fill my cup so that I had more to give.

I went to see my chiropractor, got a massage, spent time in the infrared sauna, upped my supplements, and got a facial. I saw fewer patients in practice, took more walks outside, and reconnected with old friends. I read, journaled, and allowed space for downloads.  I needed to stop and refuel, intentionally. Why?

Firstly, I was tired and that was hard to admit.

Secondly, I feel a shift to the next level coming and I want to approach it with the presence, energy, grace, and joy that it deserves.

Today, a week later, I am well on my way to recovery. My energy has increased, my joy is back and I had 2 incredible downloads to share.

This was my first intentional self-care week and it was fabulous.

Here are the two important downloads that I received:

1. You cannot become something that you already are.

I’m going to use the example of financial abundance as it is quantifiable and easily seen. Let’s say that I am searching for more financial abundance. I would have to increase my value, to myself and others. If my value increases, so does my worth. Now, here’s the important piece. I was born worthy and nothing has changed. I already am worthy. If I’m already worthy, I’m already valuable and I am already abundant. You cannot become something you already are.

2. My FATHER/source/universal spirit, creator and I are one. This has been said many times in scripture from all sacred texts.

We are one with our creator, source, etc. When I was very young, my father left our family and took with him, all the money. Everything they (my mom and him) had built was gone overnight. Subconsciously, when that traumatic event happened, I internalized it to mean that my FATHER, source, universal spirit, creator, also left me. Here’s the realization. My FATHER and I are one, so, I could never have been left. Source is within me, it flows through me. It always has. I can never be abandoned by source.

Downloads happen when you give them space to happen.

Due to popular demand, on June 7 at 1 PM EST, I will be doing a masterclass on healing the vagus nerve. I will be discussing the role of the vagus nerve in healing and going over specific healing tools and strategies for healing the vagus nerve.
