You Are Not Broken

For the most part, when we visit a doctor or another practitioner, it’s usually because we think there’s a problem that needs to be fixed.

On top of that, we are looking for someone outside ourselves to fix the problem.

If you want to fix something then it is assumed that something is broken.

But what if, you’re not broken?

The way that I chose to practice is to look at a person as if they were whole, perfect and complete as they are.

They are not broken and there’s nothing to fix.

They’ve simply lost connection.

Imagine you’re talking on your cellphone and suddenly, your call gets dropped. You don’t immediately think your cellphone is broken and throw it out the window.

You try to make your call again or look for a place with better reception. Your first thought is that your phone has lost connection to the cellphone tower, not that it is broken.

Why is your first thought that you are broken?

The phone isn’t broken, it’s simply lost connection to receive its proper signals.

This happens to your body as well.

Healing is not about correction or fixing because you’re broken. It is about the connection between your body and your nervous system.

My next free workshop is on Tuesday, January 17 at 1 pm EST on Zoom. It’s called: Set Yourself Up for Success.
