This past weekend was Thanksgiving. Instead of spending time with friends and family, I spent time curled up in a ball in bed.
Why? Ice pick headaches.
Here is a conversation I had with my head during one of my most painful episodes:
Ouch. I’m in pain. It hurts so much!
Why is this happening to me? What’s wrong with me? Why is no one helping me?
Help!
I hear you. I know you’re in pain. I feel it too.
What’s the pain trying to tell me?
Meditate on it. Connect with it.
Don’t wish it away.
Dear Pain, I’m sorry I’ve ignored you for so long. I’m sorry I tried to numb you out. I am here to connect with you. What’s the message you have for me today?
A part of you needs to die.
Ok, which part?
That’s for you to figure out.
Pain is here for a reason. Pain is here to interrupt your current life.
There are parts of your life that are working and others, that are not.
It’s here to tell you that someone needs to change.
A part of you needs to die so that another part can be born.
It’s your job to discover which part.
If you are currently being called to step into your next level, whether that be for healing, transformation, your business, etc., then the time is now and I would love to support you through your growth.
