The Illusion of Control

Who are you when life doesn’t go as planned?

Can you still hold your vision for the future or in this case, a party?

This past weekend, we hosted my daughter’s birthday party at our house. It was planned months ago when we booked a local reptile rescue as entertainment.

The night before the party, I received an email saying that they were shut down by the city and would not be coming. I tried to email back, call, and leave messages and no further response.

There are two beliefs that I have that have helped me out of many situations:

1. This is happening for me.

2. Everything is figure-out-able.

I called on these two beliefs and went into party-planning mode. I organized games, went out to get supplies and was ready for when the guests arrived.

In the end, the party went well. The children enjoyed themselves and I learned a few key lessons that apply to healing, business and life.

1. Even when you plan, things don’t go as planned.

2. Can you hold your vision even when things don’t look like they will work out?

3. Who are you when things don’t work out?

4. Growth happens in chaos.

5. Having a community helps to get you through.

Here are 3 ways to connect:

  1. In office. If you need help regulating your nervous system, you’re in pain or you suffer from a chronic long-term illness. We will help you get back on track.
  2. Daily Dose of Healing: This is a self-led program where you get daily training over Telegram. You can tap into a community of like-minded individuals and work on your healing in an immersive environment. This is great for individuals who are already on their healing journey. You have some tools and strategies and you’re looking for more. https://optimizemyhealing.com/course/
  3. 1-1 Embodied Business Mentorship: This is for the healer, coach, lightworker, visionary, or creator who’s looking to start or build their business in 2024. I want to get to know your dreams. I want you to feel seen and heard and to show you how to allow others to see you.
