You have a decision to make between two choices.
Both have their pros and cons.
How do you make the right decision for you?
The first step I ask people to do is to check their state. Are you relaxed, calm, frustrated, anxious, etc.?
You don’t want to make decisions from a dysregulated nervous system.
If you find yourself to be stressed, take a break, go for a walk, breathe, dance, eat some food, take a nap…do something to change your state.
Once you find yourself in a calm state, take each of your options and feel into them with your body.
For example, if you were thinking of quitting your job. Feel into that option when you say it, is there tension in your body? Stress? Relief? Do the same with your second option, i.e. staying in your job. Feel into it.
Do they feel the same?
Is there one that opens you up more?
Is there one that causes more tension?
If both feel the same to you, then use your imagination to play both scenarios out until the end and give yourself the best ending in both cases. In this case, you pick one and you make it the right decision because both will work out great.
