We all experience moments of transition—the spaces between relationships, between jobs, between one life chapter and the next.
It’s tempting to want to rush through these gaps, to leap straight from one thing to another, to demand certainty before we’ve even touched the ground. But the gap itself is sacred.
The gap is where we learn to trust, where we find resilience, where we understand that we are not lost—we are in motion.
The trapeze artist must let go before she can catch the next bar.
The traveller must step onto the bridge before reaching the other side.
The space in between is not a void; it is a construction site for transformation.
Becoming the Builder
A bridge does not build itself. It requires conscious effort, patience, and faith. We must lay down the foundations of self-awareness, of trust, and of action. We must be willing to move forward even when the other side is not yet visible. We must believe that the space in between is not an abyss but an opportunity—a space where the next version of ourselves is waiting to emerge.
So, when you find yourself in the in-between, do not despair. Do not fear the gap. Instead, pick up the materials life has given you—your experiences, your wisdom, your courage—and start building. The bridge is yours to create, and on the other side, a new version of you is waiting.
