One year ago, my world changed forever when I lost my Mom.
There are moments in life that divide your existence into two parts: before and after, and this was one of them.
I remember thinking that grief would perhaps move in a straight line. That there would be stages I could complete, lessons I could master, a finish line I could eventually cross. But grief doesn’t work that way. It’s more like one big roller coaster ride.
Sadness arrives in waves. In memories that suddenly appear when you’re driving by your old neighbourhood. In songs, when your daughter asks you to sing the song that her Nai Nai used to sing as a baby. In ordinary moments that suddenly feel sacred because someone you love is no longer here to experience them with you.
This past year has stretched me in ways I never expected.
It stripped away parts of me that were performative, rushed, disconnected.
In many ways, pain became my greatest teacher.
It taught me how precious life is.
How important presence is.
How quickly time moves.
And how often we abandon ourselves trying to avoid discomfort, heartbreak, uncertainty, or loss.
But what if our pain wasn’t something to run from?
What if it was actually inviting us deeper into ourselves?
That question became the foundation of The Catalyst.
Last year, in the midst of heartbreak, I launched the first version of this challenge as a way to transmute pain into purpose. What I didn’t expect was how many people were silently carrying grief, burnout, disappointment, identity shifts, endings, and emotional heaviness of their own.
People from all walks of life joined the challenge.
Not because they had everything figured out but because they were ready to stop abandoning themselves inside their pain.
And now, on the one-year anniversary of my Mom’s passing, I’m launching The Catalyst 2.0.
Not because I’m “over” the grief.
Not because healing is complete.
But because I now understand something I didn’t fully understand before:
Healing isn’t about becoming who you were before the pain.
It’s about becoming someone new through it.
The Catalyst 2.0 is a free 21-day experience dedicated to anyone who is ready to rise from the ashes of what they’ve been through.
This challenge is about:
✨ Alchemizing pain into power
✨ Processing grief and discomfort with compassion
✨ Reconnecting to your body, your truth, and your future
✨ Becoming the version of yourself your experiences have been shaping you into all along
Over 21 days, we’ll move through journal prompts, reflections, somatic practices, breathwork, and conversations that help you stop resisting your transformation and start participating in it.
Because your pain is not wasted.
Every loss.
Every disappointment.
Every moment you thought you wouldn’t make it through.
It shaped you.
And maybe, just maybe, the hardest moments of your life are not the end of your story, but the catalyst for the next chapter.
This challenge is my tribute to my Mom.
To the woman who shaped me, loved me, and continues to inspire me even in her absence.
And it’s also my offering to you.
If you’ve been carrying something heavy…
If life has changed you…
If you know there’s another version of you waiting to emerge from the pain…
I hope you join us.
💛 The Catalyst 2.0 begins soon.
